Okay well awhile ago i reinstalled renegade ( took few hours) and noticed if i used the the renegade.exe i would get a message popping up say "about to restart" , "your computer needs to restart to continue the path, press ok". even if i cancle it auto restarts my computer ( gets so annyoing why any one would make a program that does things without your permission) and it restarts if i hit "ok" then when my computer restarts it will show a box all black saying it couldnt patch my renegade... i used to be able to use game.exe but since i did a disk defrag its gone and now i cant use that as my sorce of getting into the game. i NEED HELP

no i reinstalled it like a mouth or 2 ago and was playing it till eysterday when i defraged and i used game.exe for my renip and gsa but since the defrag only thing that can get renegade up is the renegade.exe and when i run the i get the patch crap and it never works it continusly restarts

Oh, you were trying to install the Core Patch from within RenGuard. Go into RenGuard's options, disable the Core Patch check, and get it manually from the Core Patch forums. Also, if you don't have The First Decade, you need to patch before you install RenGuard, the Core Patches, etc. You can get the patch here.
