The DS-i has a larger screen, SD card capability, and a built in camera. However it loses its Gameboy advance slot.

Sorry for sounding like a dumbass but since I have never bought a gameboy whats a Gameboy advance slot? where the game goes?

No, the original DS has 2 game slots. 1 DS card slot for DS games, and one GBA slot for Gameboy Advanced games.

The DS evolved from the Gameboy. The Gameboy was Nintendo's original portable gaming system and the latest model before the DS was the Gameboy Advanced SP. (Soon after the Gameboy micro came out).

It was just another game system that Nintendo made.

Nikki: The PSP is great if you: want to game, listen to music, watch videos or movies, browse the internet, take photographs, or play multiplayer. The "ds"? not so much.

I'm not going to disagree with any of that. I'm no fanboy, and my experience with either the PSP or DS can be measured in mere minutes. The DS is cutesy-wutesy, and simple, so I know that from a hardware, and gameplay standpoint, the PSP wins out.

I'm just looking at it from a business standpoint, in that the DS has such a broad appeal, because of its simplicity, and its accessibility to markets that were generally out of reach for video games consoles.

Edit: Sony's director of Hardware Marketing has something to say about the DS-i. Talk about being a derisive asshole.
