i think an "optional" box to check if u want the chat block to work will be great and make it so you can enter your own words to block out in an ini file so you can type your own words that people spell different like mean mean black person and such

It's up the the server owners to run a chat filter. I believe Adad released a tool that allows you to block messages containing inappropriate language defined in the configuration.

It's a double edged sword. The 'N Word' is just as derogatory when an Afircan-American uses it. To be honest, when people try to use their race as an excuse to be racist, it pisses the crap out of me.

Our "swear bot" works very well (BIG THX to danpaul). It replaces unwanted words or simply blocks the entire msg. Best of it: it gives warnings and with the 3rd one the player gets automatically kicked. The mods can keep on gaming while the bot gets rid of those who can't behave

Swear filters are pointless. Westwood gave you the option of filtering swearing from the chat messages. Go into your options and disable it client side. Otherwise deal with it, that's what I got to say for it.
