Hey. I'm back. Don't play Renegade much, but I need some help, and desperately.
Don't know if many of you know it, but I'm an author. I write Command & Conquer stories for a site called http://www.greyarchive.org. I have 10 posted so far, and 50 more lined up, but I've run into trouble. I've been confused by an aspect of Tiberian Sun.
On the Nod side, after Kane returns, the mission is to recapture the Sarajevo temple. When you do, two mutants run out, saying that they've got to get something to Tratos. Now, if the Tacitus was on the Scrin Ship when it crashed, what were those two mutants carrying?
Another thing, on GDI's side, the faceplated Kane captured Umagon. On the Nod side, when you win, the normal Kane transmitted to the world, but the faceplated Kane watched and was teleported. Can someone explain who was the real Kane? I'm acknowledging that extra terrestrials sent Tiberium to earth, beamed the faceplated Kane off the planet, and also created CABAL, but I just need confirmation.
Can anyone help me?
Westwood shall rise again!
I Deslike You
DEATH TO EA!!!

What you see is the propaganda machine for Nod on television. It isn't a live feed, and it's doctored up, so Kane looks "presentable" to the public.
Reality is that he WAS in the temple, and got horribly burned by the beacon at the end of the first game.
He was patched up, and returned. No alien abduction subplot is anywhere in there, and I think Infinint is smoking crack.
No one knows what Kane saw for the Tiberian future. It is never adressed.
The most perplexing aspect of the end of Firestorm is the room with kane clones and Cabal intermingling. you can go in a thousand different storylines there. And why would a clone need a metal plate in his head anyways???
Remember, the tacitus was in pieces originally. Maybee the mutants are carrying part of it.

Quote: | Commander A9: It couldn't have been the Tacitus, because that was on the Scrin Ship.

At the end of Firestorm, once you win on GDI's side, the Tacitus pieces merge. There were two pieces - I guess one was in the temple and the other was on the ship.
your = possessive adjective
you're = you + are

I'm surprised no one has mentioned more about the background of Kane in this thread, yet...
The biblical background, I mean. the following is part of the story of Cane and Able:
Quote: |
Able was the younger brother of Cain and the second son of Adam and Eve. He was the first shepherd, while Cain was a tiller of the soil. When the brothers came as a matter of course to present their offerings to God, the sacrifice of Abel—the first-lings of his flock—was preferred to that of Cain, who gave of the fruits of the earth. The acceptance of Abel's offering aroused the jealousy of Cain, who, in spite of the warnings of God, wreaked his vengeance upon the favorite by murdering him.
Abel, stronger than Cain, overcame him in a struggle between them, but mercifully spared his life. Cain, however, took Abel unawares and, overpowering him, killed him with a stone —some say with a cane, or even that he choked him with his fingers.
The place where Abel was killed remained desolate forever, never producing vegetation. According to another version, the earth refused to take up Abel's blood.
Abel was regarded as the first innocent victim of the power of evil
The body of Abel the Just, after many days of mourning, was placed in the Cave of Treasures. Before this cave, Adam and Eve and their descendants offered their prayers; and "by the blood of Abel the Just" Seth and his descendants adjured their children not to mingle with the seed of the unrighteous.

And I'm sure we all remember finding the tomb in the Nod Temple?
Come on, can Kane be anyone else?

What did that writing say anyway? Not sure what language it's written in.
