BrenBot 1.52 Error [message #347203]

Alright, I've been using BR 1.50 for a long time and decided to upgrade. When I 'upgraded', all traces of BR 1.5 out of my renfds folder. Basically I removed the BR folder and the .dll and ini. I downloaded the full BR1.52 installer of off 'http://new.brenbot.com/'. Since I installed BR 1.52, I get this start-up error that I have no clue how to fix.

I will try to get back to this post ASAP but I have Highschool related stuff to tend to, please reply.

(Also, someone please be helpful & upload LUAv3 to filefront, every link is dead, DCOM is undergoing server move or w/e. Angry

That usually happens if you have multiple versions of some of the files. If you have perl installed make sure the versions match those in BRenBot.

Also make sure you have deleted all the temporary extracted files from 1.50, as they could theoretically cause problems. On Vista the path is C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local\Temp\par-<User>\

Edit: I literally deleted all my temp files in "C:\Documents and Settings\JMBD01\Local Settings\Temp", BR 1.52 started up -BUT- I now have a RenRem related error. Also for more info, I reinstalled it with the same installer used before with all boxes/ticks checked. Huh

I'am currently not at my mom's house (parents divorced so got like multiple locations lol) but I will check either as soon as I can get over to my mom's house or after I do my work from school. Thanks again for the reply Thumbs Up

Check to make sure the port is not in use by another application, although for UDP *sending* I don't see why that would be an issue... Also check to see if any firewalls or other applications are blocking it, as it also reported being unable to connect to IRC.

Omg omg omg omg omg! WTF?! Huh

I am so confused at what BR just did! I turned off my computer since the last post (overnight) and now it just randomly works.
Also, when i would start it up, I happen to get a 'Brenbot.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close' thing like 3 times.

About the firewalls, all ren related things are unblocked on my firewall. And for ports, I don't know what the ports are it needs except for 4949 and 6667? Big Ups
