Permabanned for trying and failing DDoS
I just noticed that Windows XP Professional gets many updates the
last time, are they trying to spy our Computers to Detect some
WAREZ users etc. ? because hacking is pretty hard now and i dont
zhink that hackers are attacking/finding so many "Backdoors" in
this short time... so what do you guys think ? is it a security
Update or something Diffrent ?

Every Windows Update has a description telling you exactly what it's for... Try reading it sometime.

Lol, no. I don't think it's that evil... Razz

The only thing evil about them is that I had to click away about 20 of those "Oh boy, oh boy. New updates. Do you want to restart your computer right now? Please?!" today, which show up every 10 minutes... Leave me alone Windows Update! I don't want to quit all my programs and restart at this moment, just be patient!

It doesn't even give me any messages. It just restarts my computer now. I blame the fact that I have no taskbar and desktop.

If you stop Windows Updates it's generally bad. Neutral

Oh, how so? I am running XP Pro with SP2 from like 5 years ago? I haven't used auto update once and my windows never crashes.. <-- Windows itself. I don't get lock ups for no reason.

When I was using WinXP Home many years ago and I used auto update it actually broke my windows and I had to format because the update released had an error with svchost which caused lock ups all the time.

Note the temporarily when you erstart it it pops right back up again, and btw its only responsible for downloading the updates and starting the installers and doing those pesky notices. Once the installer is done it no longer touches the updates in any way.

I don't understand why people are so against updates.

I have nothing against updates and ALWAYS download the latest updates for all my software (Windows included) when they come out.

My only problem with windows updates is because of the way they designed the OS, you have to reboot everytime you update.
