everytime i double click my renegade....RG runs and then it says renegade has stopped working....all the fricken time it does this.....btw i am running vista

Run it under XP Compatibility mode. It's rather vital that Renegade doesn't know it's running on Windows NT > 5.x (Vista is 6.0)

Try using this tool. It launches game2.exe (which is just a renamed game.exe) with a special compatibility fix specifically for Vista. Just extract to your game directory and run. Sadly, I'm pretty sure it's not compatible with RenGuard.
