Little Background info: I have never played any battlefield game prior to this one.
Yes I know the game is only out for consoles, so this thread is aimed toward console gamers.
I have been searching for a game similar to renegade, and so far it seems that this is as close as I am going to get.
Of course, not even this new battlefield is as fun as Renegade.
The game has one mode for now, and that is gold rush, in which attackers have to destroy golden crates, and defenders have to (obviously) defend them.
This game has hugely destructible environment which is quite neat, and when I say that you are not safe behind any wall, I 100% mean it.
My only problem is that so far it seem that the only difference between the demo and full version is more maps and weapons. None of the features that this game would benefit from greatly were added. Those who played the demo know what I am talking about.

so
Hasta la vista, baby!

That's cool...it's kinda like the GEOMOD feature from Red Faction.

If so, I won't buy it. That just doesn't work for an FPS like that.

That's called Battlefield Heroes, and I for one are looking forward to that game over Bad Company. I realized that after playing a whole lot of graphically orgasmic games (Looking at you UT3), graphics/destructible this and that does not equate to a great game.
And that Korean MMORPG cash shop system is becoming increasingly more successful over smacking down $50 straight forward for a game you'll possibly get bored with within the first week (Again, UT3). After playing ijji Gunz, which uses that cash shop system, I got instantly hooked on it, albeit having the "wow, this game looks retarded and has bad graphics." I tried Gunz, and I love it, so I can only ask you to try Heroes since its FREE anyways, and make your judgement from there.
Oh, if you're referring to the "spend some money for a few premium weapons," then the guys at Sarcastic Gamer put up a boycott that ended that scheme.

Yeah, that's the truth really. Graphics don't make a game, they're basically the icing to a delicious cake if you think about it. If you have a cake made of nothing but icing, it's going to give you a massive sugar rush and probably not taste that good after a few bites.
Inexplicably long analogies aside, I kind of want to get Bad Company, but right now I think I'm going to wait until I can get some good reviews on it before I waste my 60$$
