Renegade thinks it needs to download an update [message #333250]

Recruit

I go to "Advanced game listing" and renegade says that there's an update available that I should get. I click ok, and it says it can't create the download on my computer (not that the update would work on an already updated and ren-patched installation). I had this problem before and I reinstalled renegade and reupdated and re everythinged, but it was a pain in the ass. I just tried to play and I got this error again, anybody know a way to fix it without reinstalling everything again? Angry

Manually install Renegade patch 1.037 from here: ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/renegade/updates/

I can't reinstall the update, it says "Old file does not exist"

Recruit

Uninstall and reinstall Renegade. Install patch and all other mods you want. this should fix your problem. you must install all the patchs before you begin to mod the game.
