you're one stupid mother fucker, it's a work of modern art, there is no purpose of it, it's there to make you say "wow that's a neat contraption, innovative"

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

Come on Rocko...you sound like the one Greenpeace environmentalist who was asked "what is a best journey?"

And the fucktard replied, "the journey that was never made."

i dont know why you dont see this as a waste of resources

ignoring my earlier stereotypes, what purpose does it serve? art on the grand scale? nice but not necessary

Theres no actual tunnel under the atlantic... Only a way into the ground where there is a high res digital camera (and some sort of projector I guess).

You do have a point there.

As for the resources, all the parties involved got their money just and fair. Sure, they hired diggers and welders and the whole lot of them to put the thing together and this took time but they were paid for it. As for how the whole project goes, this is merely a giant webcam of sort instead of acutally a real tunnel with optics. Now that would have been really unnecessary and would have taken a lot longer to build.

The only guy who really stood to lose anything is the artist Paul St. George but he made his great-granfather's dream come true so there must be some sort of personnal feeling of content that is greater than the feeling of losing a couple million pounds.
