Ugh, that's certainly not music. At least, nothing respectable.

*sits and enjoys Led Zeppelin's 'Heartbreaker'*

Yeah and I could say Led Zeppelin fail hard because I dislike their style of music but hey, everyone likes different styles of music so, You can't really say people don't have good taste, to each their own.

plus this game is about fun, not "OMG PLAY UR FAVURITEE MUSIK!!"

And The Devil went down to Georgia is a fun tune to play, plus it's good. Very Happy

I was responding to Starbuzz's appreciation for electronica. My whole point was not that I don't like it, but I can't even respect it. I respect plenty of genres I dislike, just not that.

I like most of the music on the GH games, so that's not what I'm talking about.

whoa.

even so, xbox 360 is worth the price if you want decent online gaming...wii is free but blows ass since you have to exchange a friend code which is like a 16 digit code with anyone you wanna play with for every single game...there's no global code you can add to just play with all games...not sure how PS3 works but i never hear about people that play it online. 360 seems to be the only decent experience

I like TDWDTG, it is a good song the version they have in the game. But I don't like how it is a boss battle. They should of made it an option to play it solo in quick play.

Also I don't like how impossibly stupid the notes are. I beat it on Hard (after 100+ attempts) but really.. it isn't fun when you are expected to hit notes that don't even show up in the song.

I mean there is a single note the song plays while you do a hammer-on for like 3 colors... it's ridiculous. And another thing I don't like about it, since it is a boss battle song, the timing for hitting the notes is expanded so you will do exponentially better even if you are nowhere near close to hitting the note. Once you know that and you beat the song, you feel empty inside cause you know that it was in your advantage. Sad

SO you can't get TDWDTG on easy? Only hard? Gah.

Hmm? I'm pretty sure you can get it on all modes, it is part of the boss battles.

I just played it on hard because that is the mode I started on. (I skipped over Easy and Medium when I first played it)

But you never actually acquire the song for quick play, it is only available in Career and even more over is only available as a boss battle that is retardedly hard.

Hmm well I used a few cheat codes and I couldn't find it on easy.

also Slayer - Raining Blood is a HARD HARD SONG! on all game modes. Sad

I don't like *most* flat out electronica or techno music, but I do like songs that use Techno for background or effects.

Are you retarded?
Guitar Hero's Guitar Engine- I.E, timing, difficulty, etc.

Is WAYY better then Rockbands guitar.
Rockband lags on a hard song, it's utterly garbage singing.

And, theres a new extension for the Guitar Hero, (custom made however) That allowed you to use drums.

All iun all:
rock band has good songs, but if you play the game for Guitar Only,

Stick with guitar hero.

Difficulty wise, III is harder.
Song wise, III have better songs.
Looks and appearance wise, III is better.

All personal opinions btw.

I disagree. Difficulty Wise 1, 2, and Rocks the 80s were better more challenging. However GHIII is just flat out retardedly harder. There are notes that don't even seem to make sense in songs. Not to mention pulling off Hammer-ons is so much easier in GHIII that it doesn't require skill or timing, your finger just needs to be there regardless if there is a note or not.

You feel less like you are actually "playing" the guitar part in GHIII.

I know the most amount of songs in GHIII than the other ones, but I don't really like the list. I only really play it for maybe about 5 or 6 songs in the hole game.

And visually, I don't see how this is opinionated. Visually.. GHIII is vastly inferior.

The quality in this isn't the greatest but what ever. This is GHII. (I couldn't find a good video for GHIII that was screen recorded)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK7CVFHlYVI

From what you can see, the interface is much smoother and isn't choppy or blocky looking. Effects of hitting the notes look much better rather than that fake-looking firepaper effect in GHIII. The waves made by long notes with Wammies is much more fluent and less fixed than in GHIII. The background scene looks overall better. Better animation, better character design, better effects. The audiance actually plays into the song and there is actually a lot of people, not a handful of clones like in GHIII.

Guitar Hero and Rock Band both suck because of their lack of Steve Stevens.

Go for RockBand man. RockBand is just more fun to play, more instruments, more style.

GH is all about being able to play the music you love, but some songs get ridiculous. RB keeps it real and adds 2 other instruments! Clearly its the best choice.

yeah i second that, if you have 3 friends that enjoy playing guitar hero with you then get rockband you will not regret it.
better songs, more of them, no stupid boss challanges and it just gets everybody going so much more than GH ever could.

i also agree that the second guitar hero has better songs, but i like the speed and play of #3 alot more, it is faster, the hammer ons are easy... and tom morello song rocks.

plus again like someone already said for ps3 and xbox you can download alot more songs, coop mode where one plays lead guitar the other has a choice of bass or rhythm guitar, depending on the song. and you combine your note streaks and the rockstar power into one, and score ofcourse.

also no offense but, 300k for one is pretty low i can get 250k on medium and 230 no problem on hard. im sure on expert if you did the song perfect you could top 500k.

i beat all of medium and some on hard. i like "devil went down to georgia" its a hard song but its so much fun. unless im stoned then i end up button cramming it and only getting 75% or so lol. if i try i can get low 80's on it while on hard.

also for xbox 360 you can download the halo song for guitar hero. but i dont like it all that much, it sounds like a stripped down version of the song, and its a little on the hard side.
