Say I was Havoc, you were in a flame tank, I'd win. Same if you were in any other tank or infantry. The only thing that can rival me is another sniper. Any sniper that looses to a tank is not worthy, due to the fact we can hit you and get 10 points a shot, but you can't hit us. Meaning the sniper was the most overpowered unit in the game.
Newbies can't learn from a video, a video only shows them my style of playing. Copying my style will never make you any better, only unique snipers become elite. Practice in multiplayer practice, shoot the polls whitout aiming about 10 times in a row, from different angles and jumping.
Next turn on FF and get 100 kills with a deadeye, never miss a head, only time you don't aim for head is if they are low on health, which means even a leg shot is a perfect shot. Never underestimate an opponent, no matter what health they are on.
Never stop moving and always use cover and third person to locate the enemy, remember that they are only human, so they make mistakes.
In 1v1 remember the most important thing to get under control is neves. Every sniper in 1v1 gets nervous, specially if it's an important 'who's best sniper' kind of game. I know all about that... :rolleyes:
Never leave scope on, if you turn it on, leave it for for a maximum of 3 seconds. When you use scope, always move left and right, or a random move pattern.
Last but not least, always jump, people who said this tactic doesn't work have been owned by me. Jumping not only prevents gang ups, it also makes it easier to headshot people, as long as you don't use scope.
The most important thing in Renegade Sniping is timing and tactics.
And sorry but I no longer have Renegade I gave it to my brother, and he lost it. (His name is DrkFlow, go spam him on WOL :twisted: )
Anyway good luck to all those snipers, remember this is a game and making enemies is not a good thing at all.

Shady, you're an assrammer, shut the fuck up.
Duke, you never played with ADM when he actually *tried* playing Renegade, the beta days. He hasn't been playing for two years. Probably only as long as I have been playing, except he stopped a long time ago, so it's been about nine months compared to my 1.5 years or so.
He was an excellent sniper. He got his ass whipped by Cy4nid3 though, as he was (Before he died.) the best fucking soldier I have ever met in Renegade. You give that guy a Mobius and he'd kill everything and everyone. He was unstoppable. I remember just going "Okay, Cyanide's got a Mobius, just give up" because he'd plant beacons and shit and you'd never be able to disarm them because of how skillful his aiming was. I realize that Mobius characters have it easy in close combat, but this guy made a Havoc die in two seconds flat... You just don't get better than that.
ADM sniped pretty well. I don't know if you'd call him the best sniper ever, but he was good and put up quite a challenge for a lot of the snipers in the game during the beta days.

if a tank cant hit a sniper...then that's just sad. Honestly...you must have played with n00bs because any half-good person in a tank can kill a sniper...and I think you're still a little cocky when you say you cant be rivaled by anything but another sniper.

I've been playing Renegade sniping up to about 3 weeks ago. Cy4nid3 didn't even play me in a 1v1 sniper match, he told me that he didn't enjoy sniping and he perfered other stuff. I left Renegade for 2 weeks someone in between for a break and I came back ad remade HS.
Anyway Aircraftkiller you moving on to Planetside?

I didn't say he owned you in a sniper match - I said he beat the stuffing out of you and everyone else while using a regular soldier unit, or any purchasable character that isn't a sniper.
No, I'm not moving to PlanetSide. Fuck that shit, I love Renegade, PlanetSide can go to hell where it belongs.

You'd think that WL would be dedicated to the game, but they aren't. Oh well, they can go - some beta testers are still here, and I'm one that isn't leaving for the foreseeable future.

Why should we stay when there were so many clans chicken to play us? The main reason i got sick off it was that you were trying to get a clan game for a few hours and then one clan wanted but then they chickened out again because it was "WL".
After i changed pc i also got issues that my game freezes in the menu every 5 seconds and sometimes ingame. That made me stop playing at all.
And there are also new games comming. Aren't we allowed to play those? This game isn't HL that you stay playing for years but we still played it for a long time.
And for Planetside its not a real clan game. Its more like the bigger your outfit and the more you play the higher you get. Its also not worth the monthly fee.
Savage will be more a game to replace renegade for me.

Savage is an excellent game. It doesn't look much like it but it feels the same and runs on the same concept. And the way they've integrated RTS and FPS is great.
Still though, I don't think anything will compare to the fun I had in Renegade (clan games in WL) for a long time.
