On another note, I can't say this belongs here in the "Tactics and stratagy" forum

neither do most of the posts in this forum section

choosing the best character = strategy :/

Nothing to do with how usefull he is...

BlackHand Sniper

When you're a cute little hotwire humming a tune while you're making your way to Blow up the Ref or summat...
Suddenly this 'Villain' pops out and confronts you! Sends shivers down your spine.

Most bad guys wear a mask (ie darth vader) to make themselves look more intimidating.

True true, I don't think alot of people use this element of suprise though, but yes it does hapen.

My favorite character would be the SBH not because he is the most usefull (In some situations he is) but because I always wanted to be invisible. The pistol makes him silent and deadly. I don't think a SBH vs a Predator or Alien would be fair though, as they are alot more effective when it comes to weaponry Big Grin

Offtopic: Favorite vehicle: Arty. No need to eleborate.

I think the GDI soldier is XD...

Also, nod soldier is fatter >.> bigger head to. Easier to shoot. That coupled with the GDI soldier's far superior auto rifle, really makes it easy for GDI to win that first assault on the harvy/ref.

Yeah, I wish the Nod auto rifle did as much damage as the GDI one. Ah well. The GDI autorifle is a very good early game weapon, but I'd prefer a chaingun over it once I get the money.

True, but the chaingun is also pretty much just an ''Infantry-Exclusive'' weapon. I can't remember ever taking down an Apache with one, however I can remember doing so inumerable times with a GDI Autorifle. Honestly, I think the GDI Autorifle is far underrated. Because of its high rate of fire (Isn't it the fasted next to the LCG?), as long as you get headshots, it can be better than a Laser Rifle or Tiberium Fletchette Gun (for infantry), and as long as you get close and know how to dodge, its effective against arty's and apaches, or any light armored vehicle.

The Officer characters are all gay and totally useless. They are a waste of your time and your credits. And they become obsoleted quickly as a game progresses.

The chaingun's mostly good early game, so once tanks start rolling in, yeah, they're not too useful, but still good vs snipers and whatnot.

The ROF of the autorifle and the chaingun are the same, by the way.

I always love the ''Getting high kills doesn't affect your team'' comments. Are that much of a dumb fuck? Me killing people means the following:

1. Its fun. Games are for fun. Therefore it rocks.

2. When I kill someone, it sends them back to their base. Thus, that SBH ready to sneak in, that Engi attacking my ref, that shotgunner ready to take out unsuspecting snipers...I kill them, therefore it keeps them from affecting my team mates.

3. Headshots and kills add a LOT of points to the grand total. But wait- I could just be MRL whoring right? Everyone could be. Then there would be no one taking out the infantry. Then there would be a bunch of infantry taking out the MRL's...Then there would be no MRL's...

Please reserve your dumb fuckitude for someone less experienced Thumbs Up

Depends on the player, I pwn all the time with them. Especially from far distances when there is a sniper or hotty it scares them and they tend to run away like noobs.

What the hell happened overnight?...

Anyhow, the only times I've really picked up a chaingunner are on the maps Volcano, and Walls, where there's often a deluge of engineers and technicians; but that's about it.

I guess if we were to say what our 'least favorite characters' are, then I'd have to pick the 500 Sniper, with the Ramjet a close second.

Actually I find them quite useful in close quarters, even more so than an autorifle or chaingun.
