I tried to switch it up...and guess what!!!
IT CRASHED RENEGADE!
This is just a heads up.
EDIT:This is for the people who change in for themselves using custom .w3d files in place of it.

Sounds like your .w3d file was improperly named, either the name is to long or it was changed AFTER the file was created (that is if its crashing the second you buy a character with the repair gun).
