Well, to decrease the WTF posts a little:
RxD is a download package for the demo of Renegade. Basically it converts the demo into the full version of the game for free (If you think we are cheap bastards who can't buy a full version, so be it, but keep in mind that we can pay for a server which specs aren't important, but probably more decent than most full version servers). However, soon (looking at where we are now, the beginning of march) we will be releasing a new version. This will include a whole new client, auto-updater & anti-cheat.

Now, because we don't like to release beta programs, we need a group of dedicated gamers who would like to participate in a beta team.

Requirements:
-You like to work in a team
-You are online fairly often (few times a week)
-You are willing to spend time & effort in the beta testing
-You would love to make this awesome game even better
-You don't need to google when someone says 'x64 OS'.
-It would be great if you have a good experience as a server mod, because the most important thing is the anti-cheat testing

Please keep the topic clean from posts like:
LOL DEMO, HA ANTICHEAT L0Z3RS et cetera

If you are interested, please shoot me a PM.

Happy gaming Big Ups

I think it is appropriate the topic falls in this subforum because it is not a specific mod but also calls for players from the entire community.

You'd probably get a better response there. Most people in this forum just flame each other.

whoa.

Wait, if I understand this right, you took the demo of Renegade and converted it into the full version of the game?

Sounds abit legal to me.

As Slave would say it:

Quote:

About the pirated part. Do realise that a lot of us do legally own the full version. It's basically a copy paste job from folder to folder, with a nice blend of vanilla and a seperate room on Gamespy. Call us cheap for not being able to afford 5$, but do know that we put our own time and money in the maintainance of the server.
And indeed, some people playing rxd do not have a legit copy of renegade. If you want to cry about it to EA, be my guest, if that is what makes you happy. We are not entirely happy with this fact either, but it's doing noone any real harm, not even EA.

Yes, and they need to be valid even.
