k so i havent' played in a while, but anyways i open up renegade, and there is a black screen... why a black screen, you know what i mean? help me fix this crap, like y cos its keeping me form renegade!!!

Do you have any scripts installed? if so go to your renegade folder and delete shaders.dll and d3d8.dll

If not,
If your computer is newer get Scripts 3.4.4
If your computer is older get Scripts 2.9.2

This usually happens when you install an older scripts version (e.g. core patch 2) over a newer scripts version (3.x).

If this doesn't make sence to you, reinstall as explained here
