Was I implying it? No, you only heard what you wanted to hear and, hundreds of individual soldiers after the invasion was over decided to take the aforementioned action stated above, and their higher ups not only did nothing about it but secretly encouraged it, similar to what happened in Poland and the Soviet Union during WW2.
