I try to make a sever here but it fails, why? index.php?t=getfile&id=5294&private=0

First thing you're doing wrong is this is in the wrong subforum. Try FDS Technical Support...

eather your host name or password is wrong or it dont work, your host name has to work in renegade so try loging in to your host name on ren

also make shure your serial is the right serial for your renegade game you can change all of this in the server.InI file
located at by default C:\Westwood\RenegadeFDS\Server

This is what serial number I did 06692529081891341*****
Since WOL switched to XWIS there is no need
for unique serials anymore.
Replace ***** with any number you like to get the FDS working on xwis. From game-maps.net

No, it's 0669 followed by any 22 number combination. But that's only for getting through the installation. You're supposed to go in and change it to your real serial after installing.

Okay here start with 0669 then 0s til the end. Afterwords use your renegade serial. (Change it by a .cfg in the server folder). I don't get that part with the () around them, what does he mean?

Open server.ini and change the serial number to the serial that came with your game disk.

How many nicks have you used on your serial it could mean you don't have any left to use(only 9 per serial).

Before it never took the disk but now it wants it and I put it in and still! I think it wants the original Renegade disk not the First Decade.
