Hello,
So, I bought a game through eBay and the tracking information says this:
Quote: | Label/Receipt Number: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX
Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received
The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on January 7, 2008 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

I Googled it but can't find a good answer. Which is why I am posting here.
So what does it mean? Please explain clearly!
Thanks
NOTE: Yes, I am new to online shopping.

It means that the seller has purchased the mailing label for your package and probably has already mailed it out as well. The USPS is slow to update that page and you will rarely see anything other than "Electronic Shipping Info Received" or "Delivered". I send stuff through USPS Priority Mail all the time and it usually sits on that status for a couple of days even though it has left my hands.

That's probably supposed to be the case, but I have sent stuff that says that status even when it's almost at the recipient's location. I'm saying that he shouldn't be concerned. It also depends on how far the package is going but Priority Mail is supposed to take 2-3 days depending on how far it's going. If 3 days go by and it hasn't changed it's likely they didn't ship it right when they purchased the label.

What game did you buy? It's not a great idea to buy games on Ebay as they can be pirated, have scratched disks, or have the serial number taken from them.
Someone posted on the c&c3 forums that he had bought a copy on ebay . The seller had taken the serial number, used it to register online, and the re-sold it. The guy had to give EA $10 for them to give him a new serial number, and it cost almost as much as him getting it in a store.
