i get an error when i try and get online with renegade
cannot connect to server
cannot connect to westwood online
ive tried xwisc tool and vcredist and ive changed the host file nothing works
ive had this problem 4 about 3 months
plz help

Could a firewall (maybe windows firewall) be blocking the connection? Did you read the FAQ and see if known solutions might work?
Can you also try to ping c.xwis.net ?
go to Start > Run
Type "cmd" and press "OK"
then type
And say if it gives you four counts of "Reply from 212.162.52.4: *stuff*" or four counts of "Request timed out"
If it's the latter, something isn't letting you get to XWIS for Renegade.
