...?

Thanksgiving is a day to say thank you for things you have, to explain what your thankful for...

I don't see how, in anyway, it could be related to religion. The only thing about thanksgiving that I can see being religious is if a family says a prayer before eating... but not everyone does that...

And the reason why it is today, of all days, is because of the whole pilgrim/Indian coexistence thing way back when... still I see no sign of religion..

Even more so, if what you say is true, what religion would thanksgiving be for anyway? Because everyone in the US, who is able to, celebrates it. And I know that there are way more than only 1 religion practiced in the US...

Some people are still polytheistic, meaning they still believe in more than one god.

Thanksgiving? Selfish?! In what way, could hanging out with people, eating, celebrating, and thanking could be selfish?

Thanksgiving isn't religious. It never started out as religious, never was religious, and still isn't religious.

Points why it isn't:

-If it was religious, why is it an AMERICAN holiday? Religions are practiced all around the world, and yet only America celebrates it.

-There are more than one religions practiced in America, if Thanksgiving was in fact at any point a religious holiday, why is it that people of ALL RELIGIONS celebrate it?

-If Thanksgiving was a holiday to give thanks to God, why do people who still are polytheistic (believe in more than one God) celebrate it?

-If it is/was a religious holiday, then what is with the entire background story of the pilgrims and the indians and that big feast? From what I can tell that has nothing to do with religion.

Face it, Thanksgiving is as much religious as a poor person owning a Rolex...

And by you saying "OMg why do you celebrate it if your not religious that makes you selfish" that won't only piss of the people who are religious, it will also piss everyone else off into thinking you're an ungrateful prick.
