If you only have a black screen on Renegade that can be caused by installing Core Patch 2 after scripts.dll 3.0 or higher. If you previously had scripts.dll 3.0 or higher either delete shaders.dll and d3d8.dll, or install scripts.dll 3.4.4 ( see link in CarrierII's post ) to fix the problem.

I'll try this and yes of course i have the lastest scripts and
OS > crappy Vista
Video card > a crappy intel one intel gma 950 244mb i think?
and i'm 100% sure that it is up to date driver wise
