Here is my problem I start renegade I can hear sounds fine but I cannot see it I get the sounds of it starting and then the menu music and I can hear the mouse moving around on stuff but I cannot see it all I see is black and the computer I am using has been able to run renegade fine until now  for some reason, I have not changed anything to do with video card lately(if you would like to see specs of computer ask)also when I start the computer up the screen kinda flickers funny then goes normal and that started just today I think so I'm think that could have something to do with it if anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated
PS. This computer is new only a month old I think

I'll try this and yes of course i have the lastest scripts and
OS > crappy Vista
Video card > a crappy intel one intel gma 950 244mb i think?
and i'm 100% sure that it is up to date driver wise

I deleted the two thing it works but it acts like it is sorta in a way in windowed mode when it is not other words it does not fill up the whole screen and just kinda put it's down and the res is at 800 x 700, there might be an easy solution but i can't find it I'll try playing around with the res for a bit when i had it on 800x700 before when it worked and i didn't have to delete anything that res filled the screen and worked well
EDIT: I played around with the res I put it to the highest it fills the screen but all the text and buttons are too small

well I got it to a decent text but it cuts some things off(i.e. loading bar when joining a server) when I have it set to 1200x768+ and when I set it lower it does not fill the whole screen if there was a way to get it back to how it was before (that being when I set it to 800x600 it actually filled the whole screen and looked perfect) could someone please tell?

Infact I am(it's actually a laptop widescreen moniter) but I am clueless of how it could just all work perfect at 800x600 then just suddenly not work and make me have to delete something and then it is still not perfect to me it worked fine on the monitor before, would reinstalling it do anything?
