You do know that computer is seriously outdated don't you?

I lucky have two computers, one that im using now which is my main machine. AMD Sempron 3100+ 2.1Ghz, 512mb DDR 333 (Was 1GB until a module blew) 320GB HDD and a XFX 7900GS 600.

And then I have my 'down stairs computer' AMD 4000+ 2.4Ghz, 2GB DDR 400, 250GB HDD and a XFX 7800 XXX Edition.

Im in the process of updating my sempron (God bless my poor sempron) to a AMD 6000+, 2GB DDR 800, 500GB but use the 7900GS card.

My 250 dollar PC is better than yours, mine came from HP, 1gb ddr2 ram, amd athlon 64 3800+, 160gig HDD, and nvidia 6150.....crappy specs, but beats the crap out of your PC for only 250 dollars...I souped my PC up into a gamer with more ram, and a better graphics card, the CPU will run almost all games at full speed and graphics will run all games at max settings, the only game that wont run smoothly is stranglehold, poor porting of the ps3 version.

Hehe. I've got two. This one, which is a pile of old parts turned into something useable, so we won't talk about it (Ok - 2.0 ghz Single Core P4, 1.5 GB of SLOW RAM, An aging HDD with but 40GB in it, Radeon 9550. God it's slow)

The proper one Smile

P4D 2.66 Ghz.
1GB RAM
4 cheap 80 GB hard disks (SATA) in a RAID 10 (or 0+1)
ATI X1650

Well my "new" computer is a real step up from my older one:

*Pentium II 400 mhz processor
*10 GB HDD
*16 MB Voodoo 3 Graphics Card
*Some added sound card
*186 MB of RAM or some kind(DIMM I think)

Yeah I am gonna modify my "new" computer.

P.S I got that "new" computer for free.

You won't be able to. Find a little more RAM, see if you can somehow attach a bigger HDD (Try a USB drive) and then turn it into a home server. If XP runs too slowly, try using a linux such as Ubuntu.

Your new pc isn't THAT bad, I'm still on 512Mb o' ram, And 2.0Ghz processor.. Isn't that slow.

But it could do with more ram, if you ask me. Smile

Yeah well my old computer, the one with the Petium II, is probably going to go to the trash. Althought I could make a server out of it.

No, I think he means home server as I suggested in my post above. You'll probably have to use linux, though.

I currently have xp on it and it works fine. What is wrong of making a Renegade server out of it? Blush It would run just the same as clicking host in the WOL menue.

It would be fucking slow, that's what. The readme for the server recommends about 800 Mhz + 200 Mhz per client after that. I would personally just recomend that you use something that's VERY FAST. I.e, not a PII

I have an older Dell 3 gig with 512 DDR

It runs everything, but after an hour on BF2142 it heats up and I get frame chugging. Poor old X300 can't keep pace.
