I just downloaded renguard and downloaded the core patch, everything is working fine except the sound, which there is now none of. The sound used to work in the game but not in the cutscenes someone help pleez.

Can you go in wwconfig.exe and make a screenshot of your sound settings?

I've got the same exact problem, I've updated my drivers and my sound still turns off everytime I reinstall Renegade.
Fatboy please tell me if you have been able to get it fixed and what you did.

Hmm. Does un-installing Renegade (and Renguard, if applicable) and then putting them back (Re-installing) fix it? (Don't try this if you don't know exactly what to do/don't think it'll help)
Renguard is a wonderful initiative

Well I don't think its in the Renegade options because its not just the game sound I lose, its all sound on my computer.

I only mention that because I once tried to test a Video card and failed to connect the monitor. Er..

Ya I thought of all that and checked everything, mind you I have deleted the game and reinstalled it many times after getting the sound working to only lose it once I launch the game.

I'm thinking it may have something to do with the driver but this is the most recent driver availible.

Got it working, I bought this comp used and they must have had something changed in the driver or something. I installed the original driver off the factory disc and all is well.
