Just now while listening to Rush Limbaugh, (Yes, i am a conservative), he was ranting about the fact that Miller Brewing company is sponsoring a gay thing down in San Fransico. That wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that the party is Christan themed. Basically they have a thing called the Last Supper, some Leisbians are calling themselves "the queer nuns" and other things like that.
Christans here in Wisconsin are totally outraged at Miller for sponsoring this. It is a complete mockery of Christianity as we know it and Miller refuses to revoke the sponsor ship. I think that this targeted to get a rise out of us. If so, then it is suceeding for me.
The manliest post on the internet

the only thing i can think of is a big big contradiction in the christian religion (please note that i am a christian, and im also bisexual)
the bible says that god accepts everyone, and that we too should accept them. meaning this party is following the bible.
and yet many Christians think that non heterosexuals are wrong, sent by the devil, and hated by god or something like that.
these two things conflict, and i say this: god accepts us all, so we should too. the fact that this party upsets people both amuzes, and confuzes me.
sometimes i think that some people dont even THINK about where they stand. if your a christian, dedicated to accepting others, and you dont like gays, well if i continue ill just be repeating myself lol.

Well, homosexuality is a sin. however, simply committing sins does not mean you're excluded from salvation. I'm not trying to state that one sin is worse than another, because for all I know, God may put homosexuality on the same level as saying a swear word.
I do believe they're ignorant though, from their antics anyways. It almost seems as if they're trying to mock Christianity.

Lets take that to the extremes..
Rape vs Swearing.
Clearly one is a 'worse sin' than another....?

Hands up all those that have eaten shell fish or crustaceans.
Quote: | "These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you."
|
Thats found in the same area of the bible that says homosexuality is an abomination.
funny how only some parts of religion is followed

Homosexuality is not natural and it is not decided by genes. The whole genetics bullshit is cooked up by activist supporters of homosexuality who are desperate to find some scientific evidence to legitimate homosexual behavior.
Now I don't want to get involved in what is legitimate and illegitimate. When it comes to sexuality, I believe people can do whatever the hell they want as long as it is with their own bodies and with the bodies of consenting adults.
Nuff said.

Jesus wouldn't care if they are gay or not. They're people too, and if they are good, decent, and hardworking people, they'll join him in Heaven.
Straight people, and especially Churchies love going after homosexuals, and calling them sinners, because the straight people need to feel big, because they're ashamed of their own sins.
Divorce is a sin. Sex before marriage is a sin. Not eating fish on Friday is a sin. Being jealous is a sin. Not assisting the poor and elderly whenever possible is a sin. Swearing is a sin too.
If you are going to knock homosexuality for being a "sin" , then you sure as hell had better not have sinned in your entire life, otherwise in my eyes, you look like a moron.

DarkDemin wrote on Sun, 30 September 2007 04:27 | Homosexuality IS NOT NATURAL! I will break it down past the point of religion. We on this earth to reproduce and fill the planet with little mini-me's in order to continue our species. I know someone will bring up the MSNBC article about how there are 1,500 known species that have exibited homosexual activity. I want you to read the last three words of that sentenceover again and thing about them, "exibited homosexual activity," this does not say "have a predominant role in the species society." The few cases they are able to note could easily be written off as an anomily. I hope that being gay right now is just a fad, seriously its just wrong.
|
It is a natural anomaly, apparently.
It isn't thought up by humans, else animals wouldn't do it.
So, since it does happen in nature, why have such big problems with it? (and if you believe in god as the creator of everything, then he also created homosexuality)
I have nothing against homosexuals as long as they don't bother me with their sexual feelings. They don't hate us for being heterosexual, do they?
Also, accordng to you, we should also kill/remove handicapts etc from socety, as that is oblviously wrong, there are so few that it is just an anomaly. (NOTE: this is just ment as example, not my opinion)
