# 42: Demanding a 1v1 at all, since it proves nothing about your ability to function as part of a team, unless you are using said 1v1 as a proxy to determine the outcome of some disagreement or as a challenge of (drumroll) an equal's ability to best you in fair sport. People who go around demanding 1v1's over dumb shit then whining and getting pissy when someone says "no" to them... well, they irk me. That could possibly be because I'd be ass-awful at a 1v1, yet I dare say that some random n00b demanding one of me- probably because I called them out on something dumb they did, which I know is dumb because I've been playing Ren for years longer than they have, in-game- would only demand such a contest just because it's the only one they'd be at all likely to win. I always pick on this whenever it comes up- anywhere, ever- but stupid e-penis contests in gaming really put a burr up my ass because I don't want to be hassled by some over-competetive little tool looking for an ego trip in a game that I play for recreation.

# 101: Complaining about your team when you could be doing something to help out. I may be weak and bitch at some dumb fucker on occasion (Ren wouldn't be the only game), but I generally try to at least include something constructive in that colorful comment, or I try not to say it at all. If my team is being a bunch of douchebags and letting the base get wasted while they're off playing UberPointWhoreFestaPalooza2k7, I'll say something to the tune of "Defend the damn base, morons-" and then go grab something I can defend the base with (If I don't already have it, which I normally do). I can't stand the stupid little shits who moan and groan about the WF being nuked when they're halfway across the map in an MRLS plinking away at the HoN (which is being repaired anyway, showing the color of their remarks as being those made by someone pissed off that 'someone else's incompetence' lost them the opportunity to do more pointwhoring). Basically, back up your words with action or don't fucking type them. I don't want to hear about how the defense or the offense or the pie fight in the tunnels needs more support unless you're already on the way to help out.

Oh, and yeah, I suppose it is a pointless topic; It's all been said about a zillion and a half times, but... how often does anyone really talk about Ren anymore? Even if it's a stupid re-hash, IMHO any topic that concerns the actual playing of Ren (and not just forum drama or 'so and so is doing such and such') merits a post or two. That, and it's fun to blow off steam at fucktards from time to time.
