I would like to introduce the next-generation of IP connection programs for cnc Renegade. Renegade Launcher is similar to RenegadeIP and connects to any Renegade (or Renegade mod) server, but has several more features.
1. Renegade Launcher supports multiple user profiles, so you can save user information for several people, or alternatively, for Renegade and any mods you may have (see screenshot).
2. Renegade Launcher saves server IP addresses and ports in individual files, making it easier than ever to share server addresses between friends
3. For those of you who frequently start several other programs with Renegade (mIRC, Teamspeak, etc.), Renegade Launcher can launch up to 100 additional programs with Renegade when you click the launch button. Simply enter each program's name and find the executable on the hard drive, and Renegade Launcher will do the rest. Renegade Launcher saves the program list with each profile so that your programs will automatically be launched once you configure it initially.
The Renegade Launcher can be downloaded at my FileFront account from this link:
http://files.filefront.com/Renegade+Launcher/;8446878;/fileinfo.html
Renegade Launcher requires the Microsoft .NET framework 2.0.
Download it Here for computers with x86 architecture (most computers)
Download it Here for 64-bit machines.
Please send any comments or concerns to me through these forums, or email me at slavik262@gmail.com
Thank you.

Yes perhaps you should consider using it?

So the topic title should be changed to: a sucky little "teaser" from C&C Reborn has been released

Thanks for hosting it. Nice to see it's getting a decent reception. I will possibly be working with Dante from the cnc Reborn staff on the next version. He's offered some interesting ideas using XML.

I need to agree with EWD: do not make it auto list or include a default list or something. Some of us just don't want direct connecters!

We even have had someone complaining he could not connect to our server when he was using DC We don't trust ppl who apparently do know how to get the server ip and port and stuff by WOL, but still need to use directconnect.
That's why StealthEye made it so that you need a password for direct connect.
|
Would you be kind enough to release that to server owners please?, I would love to add the password for direct joiners to the MP servers or a option to block DC users.
|
We are planning to including it in some other piece of software we will be releasing, as that will need it anyway.
Perhaps we will release it as standalone before that though, but that depends on StealthEye, and he is a bit hard to reach atm.

I apologize that some people abuse direct connect. However, I'm not including a default server list, so it is up to servers to allow their users to direct connect by providing their IP and port.
Even though some abuse it, direct connections can also be very useful.

Please don't accuse me of cheating. That's really stupid. Ask anyone on any forum if I cheat. My "inspiration" was RenConnect, made by Hex. It can be found at http://www.n00bless.com/downloads/. I also took a look at RenIP, found at game-maps.net
I wanted to write something in VB and an idea came to me to make a program that did the same thing, but with more advanced features. If you notice, my program doesn't even touch Renegade files. It uses a command that I got from the A Path Beyond forums and RenIP, which is as follows:
"[Path here]" +connect [IP]:[Port] +netplayername [player name] [commands]
Besides,
1. I'm from the US.
2. If you pay any attention to the image you just showed, Mandai wrote his application in C#. Mine is in Visual Basic.NET.
3. If you want anything else from me to prove I'm not Mandai, go ahead. I'll provide anything. I'm perfectly open If it has to come to it, even the source code if you want it.
Don't make stupid accusations. Say whatever you want, but I'm not this "Mandai". I have no idea what forum you even got that from.
On a lighter note, version 1.0.1 is out. Just a fix for a bug that crashed the program if the user didn't have his Renegade executable path correct. Now they get a nice error message.

It is strange 2 of the same programs one with cheat ability, and one without came out at the same time, I hardly doubt two different people made these 2 programs, theres never anything updated in US forums renegade area, and for something to be updated here and on their forums, it really gives off that it is you.
1. you could have a different name and country listed in UC forums, easy as that
2. you could have written the code for one in VB and other in C
3. why would similar programs come out at the same time with similar features? UC forums is rarley updated because the hax out there are "good" enough and dont need updating for noobs who use them.
