[quote title=Jeep Rubi wrote on Fri, 10 August 2007 12:09]What's a P4 plug? Is it the 4 pin connector for the CPU, if it is then yes, that's plugged in.
This is the PSU:
Quote: | Ive taken all the memory out and attempted it that way, from what I hear it should still do something onscreen to tell you that you have no memory.
|
No, it wouldn't show anything if you don't have memmory the motherboard will make some noise, or most likly beeps.
Quote: | I don't think I can try my old PSU because its only a 300W so it wouln't have a chance at running this.
|
If it has a p4/24pin atx then you can just attach the motherboard to it and leave the new PSU just for GFX
Quote: | It didn't come with a booklet, but the online manual doesn't mention anything about lights.
|
That's odd, ask someone on EVGA forums, as Im sure a tech there knows what it means
I have the board and everything layed out on my desk on top of an anti-static bag and have been starting it with a screwdriver for tests.
Quote: | Nothing is working, my theory is that the motherboards 4 pin power connection is faulty so the CPU isn't getting power. That could explain why absolutely nothing is showing up onscreen
|
It could be just a DOA.. everything can be broke even new stuff.
You could test it by using the 300Watt for motherboard ( if it has a P4 connector, connect it) and make the new PSU run the Graphics. Do this by connecting the black and green wire on the psu.
