I tried this program some time ago. It's shareware and it doesn't allow you to save at all (including saving in it's propietary format and exporting) unless you purchase it. I've still got ultimate unwrap 3d's predecessor, lithunwrap (this version was free until they got greedy and went to uu3d).

I'm having fun with 3D Studio 5's UVWunwrap at the moment. When you get used to it, it's a fantastic way to skin your models.

Does anybody have a tutorial for the UVW unwrap, in 3DS Max 5, and how do you create a wrap, thingy, or whatever it is called.

It's easy.

Select the object(s) you want to Unwrap. Assign a Unwrap UVW modifier, expand the + sign thingy and hit select faces. Select the faces, then hit edit.
