I use XP, under windows 2000 mode.
In my opinion, it runs smoother, and you dont really need all the extra "sha-zam" that XP look offers.

I run under classic mode as well. (In regular XP, not MCE) Not that I think its a major performance enhancer but I just don't like the "Bubbles". (MCE has a better looking default scheme than standard XP)

My first pc that I still have is a Windows 98, It's broke at the moment due to Blue Screen Of Death.. I just need a floppy drive
so I can re-install 98 on it.

I use a Windows XP SP2.

My brothers laptop has Windows Professional Media edition or whatever the hell it's called.

You can get that theme and the Zune theme, which is the same as the MCE theme but's Black/Orange instead of Blue/Green, for Windows XP. IMO, the MCE theme is what the Windows XP theme should have been. I wasn't fond of the default Windows XP theme either, so I use the MCE theme.

I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2 BTW.

I personally use XP pro and XP media center.

For the BlackIntel server we use Windows XP pro X64 edition. This because it has the same base as server 2003, but is cheaper.

the reason I said this is cause there are so many distributions its kinda silly just to have those two...

There is a RH7 and a RH8 version of the Linux FDS, that's why.
