4v4 TOURNAMENT
WHO: Anyone who is interested
WHAT: Four-versus-Four (4v4) Tournament
WHERE: TsuGaming.com :: AOW server
WHEN: September 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd
WHY: Cuz?
HEY! That's right you small clans and surviving clans of the past -- I'm talking to YOU! It's time to get some serious games going with a nice 4v4 tournament. Put your reneskills and teamwork to the test by competing in this tournament.
HERE'S HOW IT WILL WORK
- You find a team, put together a team, and practice - probably on our AOW so you get familiar with the rules. Rules will be the same as those on our server. Register no later than the 18th of August!
- On Septempber 1st, 8th, and 15th we will lock down our public AOW server for a few hours each day (probably 4hrs). We'll schedule the registered teams into a slot and you'll play each side of two maps. If its a tie, a fifth game will be played and sides will be chosen at random. Winner progresses on.
- Each round will have a new map, which will be selected randomly. This means that all of the first set of games will be played on the same map, then all of the second round games will be on a new map, and so on. However, you will not know what map it will be until the day of the match!
ENTRANCE FEE
This tournament will be rewarding the winners with a cash prize. For this reason, all teams will be charged a $10 registration fee.
PRIZES
This tournament will reward the winning teams with cash prizes to be distributed as follows:
- First place = 50% of total cash
- Second place = 25% of total cash
- Third place = 10% of total cash
- Fourth place = 5% of total cash
- Leftover cash becomes a donation to Tsunami Gaming
This is a great chance to play some motivated teams and win some cash for your clan.
Registration is limited to the first 16 teams who sign up.
To sign up, post the name of the four players who are on your team in a post below. Up until the registration deadline (18th of August) you may change your roster. After the registration expiration, rosters may not be changed. Substitutes may not be used at any time. If its discovered that you have broken any registration rules you will be dropped from the tournament without refund.

So what ever happens, TSUgaming gets 5% for a couple of hours (laggy) hosting.

10% :/
I don't think many people are going to be interested, 10% is way too much to take from them.
|
yeah I misread
That's about 10% too much. Donations should be voluntarily.

Every tournament I've played in, such as the old Xphaze tournaments, it was free to play as long as you had your team in time, and they had cash prizes as well. I don't think many people are up for paying ten bucks to play in a tournament for a game they've already paid for, especially if they lose, then they're just out ten bucks.

Though I know this concept exists for other games, I doubt it'll be succesful for Renegade.

Also what happens when you have taken everybodies money and then the tournement fails to get past the first round?

Before charging a entry fee, or taking a cut of said fee, I would expect a proof of concept, ie, at least 5 successful Tournaments...
