Learn to use the Boolean part of it, so you can master cutting, and with practice, you'll become an expert. I've made all my tunnels, bridges, ladders, etc.. With just a box to start with, and then by cutting out the parts I don't want ended up with ladders, bridges, and many, many more things. You get better as you get more practice. And before long, you'll be making things that you never dreamed of making with just a box. Good luck.
