Ok, I have been seeing this really cool thing around lately on the servers. Huh

though i dont know what it is. It is this thing that it has sounds that play during the game. Here is one: //aaaaargh . I really would like to get the file for it. No, it is not boinks, but noise as such. You know like in Renegade you can bark the command: Defend The Base! . It is like that but with different sound. Please, if you know what it is tell me. I sent you a pm reguarding the radio mods, didnt want to write too much info about DDB files here since alot of new people get ideas for cheats etc.

3. look in always.dat and check every sound file and listen to them
4. theres thousands of sound files to listen to, some funny, some creepy, some cabal, some weird eva, some naggy, some rofl funny....DO IT

Be aware that many serevrs may ban you for doing this because:
1. it's an indication that you could be cheating
2. it's annoying like hell

Hmm my idea is only client side, how do you make it so others can hear your custom radio command, because what I am testing plays me the custom sound, but others still hear the regular command...I knew this would happen, so what do i do to make it server side for others to hear? on our server a nub spammed his custom commands wav files from always.dat and we could all hear it on my team, and no we dont have any server mod for that.

Objects.ddb editing. Radio commands are client side only. You change the preset that the keyhook calls for to another.

IE: CTRL+1 calls the preset Mx0_rado01_snd.wav. If you change the name of the preset to something like "M01_ghav001_snd.wav" it will change the text displayed and sound played to the one in the new preset. (These presets may not exists in always.dat)

If you look around or use the search function in these forums you will find the link to my personal one to give people the experience of using them.

Using this file is not RenGuard friendly. Turn RenGuard off before running these. Using this file will also result in the user experiencing 'The 0 Bug'. The 0 Bug is an anti cheat bug set into Renegade by Westwood. It stops users from getting a server listing and if they make it into a server, it will stop the user from gaining any points, credits will be lost and damage will not be given to other players. There are ways to bypass The 0 Bug but i am not going to discuss them here.
