In a little under 4 hours from now, I will be reporting to an oral surgeon to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. I have been putting this off for a while but the pain is getting unbearable, so it has to be done. Two of the teeth have cavities, which is apparently rather common since they are partially erupted and difficult to reach with my toothbrush.
My brother went to this same surgeon to have his removed a couple years ago, and he was given whatever sedative makes you completely not remember the procedure at all, so I hope to get the same. My sister had hers done with laughing gas and she remembers the doctor pulling and prying her teeth but at the time she didn't care. I don't want to remember it.
Also, my grandma went to the emergency room barely responding with a high temperature last night. I haven't heard exactly what caused it, but she is apparently improving in the CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit) - please send your best wishes her way and your curses and epithets to /dev/null.
I'm the bawss.

They did mine two by two. They first told me the two left ones were still ok, three weeks later they also had to pull them out. Reason why: you can only do 2 at a time in a doctor's office, if you do 4 at a time it needs to be done in the hospital. The doctor makes more money when doing it in his office than in the hospital.
I suffered twice + staid conscious twice while it was being done because the doctor wanted to earn more money.
All in all it'll take you about 1,5-2 weeks before it's almost completely healed. It hurts but it's not the end of the world.
You can find me in The KOSs2 (TK2) discord while I'm playing. Feel free to come and say hi! TK2 discord

i had my wisdom teeth pulled a few years back, the procedure itself isnt all that painfull. i got the same thing that your brother did and i dont really remember much of it. only thing is you will be tasting blood for the next 2 weeks and if you do smoke... you will have to quit for atleast a week unless you want gum desease. otherwise its not that bad... oh and ofcourse get some tylenol 3s for when you come off the sedation.
oh and im really sorry to hear about your grandma hope she gets better!
after reading gostows post (which he made while i was typing mine) dont do 2 at a time, do all 4 and get it over with lol
trust me on this

I've never had any wisdom teeth pulled, but I did get two bicuspids removed without any anesthetics or pain reliever, and it didn't hurt at all. I guess I could say it had an irritating feeling, rather. Although, I greatly enjoyed all the Vicodin given to me afterward. I'm sure you'll be fine.

I had my teeth "capped" as a child and I have never had a single cavity. Hell after that procedure I haven't even been to the dentist (Happened after my last baby tooth came out, so that's near 15 years of healthy teeth). Whatever the cost I will give it to my children because it sure is good for the chompers.
Your situation sounds really bad though it but has to be done. Pity has been granted.

I just got back from having this shit done. It was cool... I remember getting in the chair and them injecting the anesthetic, then I remember everything getting all fuzzy about 3 seconds later. Then I remember walking to the recovery room but I don't remember getting out of the chair. Apparently I had to be given specific instructions for each leg to get out. LOL
Now I'm in pain, waiting for my vicodin to kick in. It's been about 5 minutes now and I feel fine so I guess I'm not allergic to it. I know I'm allergic to codeine, though.
I think bed awaits... gotta sleep through the worst of this.

Shit, also... my grandma was diagnosed with a bladder infection and she's doing a lot better. Hopefully she'll be back home in a couple of days. She's 69 and diabetic but my aunt takes super-stellar care of her so she's still able to walk unassisted and is doing pretty well in general.
