i need a firewall what do you guys think is the best firewall i can buy and download that i cant manual configure ports to let it make my software run i got ashampoo but it wont let some of my stuff work no matter what!
so whats the best firewall?

if your using Vista you could use the build in one.
XP has a built in firewall aswell, but it doesn't check outgoing.. and les options.
If you don't want to configure ports and such. Then ZoneAlarm might be your thing..

My security is very basic, but I have no troubles. I use Windows' firewall and NOD32, and then every once in a while I run Lavasoft's Ad-Aware and Spybot - Search & Destroy. Never, ever any troubles. I keep away from those horrid porn sites and such, though.

well i HAD a firewall that coaght people doing portscasn on my pc and idk if windows firewall is doing that as wellor what

Probably bots. If you're behind a router then you won't see those.
