Ok so lets post some good deals we got recently at a garage/yard/whatever sale!
I got a bendy neck desk lap with a light bulb for ¢.50!
Then my mom who was looking for a cheep deck umbrella found this one brand new still in the box never been opened umbrella for $20.00 the box's price tag said $99.99 on it!
Anyone else get a good deal?

We have sales like that here in Perth. Although instead of being car boot sales, people come in and set up stalls. People who are selling stuff and people who are buying stuff both pay fees to the organizer which goes to the charity group that its benefiting.

Unfortunately in the UK car boot sales are not so much about raising money for charity (although Church ones still are), they are more about a place to fence off stolen goods or illegal cigarettes, pirate porno DVD'S etc etc.
And the honest people there can only really sell second hand clothes, but the only people who buy that shit are the Afgans and immigrants from Eastern block tinpot countries. They get a whole new wardrobe for like 3 pounds.
Most of the Black people who buy that stuff then send it back to Africa where the cousin/uncle/dad has a shop or stall, or some donkey whatever, and then they sell it to all the little village peasants.
And because it is only gypies, tramps, thieves and immigrants who now go to these things you can't sell anything with a value higher then one pound, which is why people just sell there second hand clothes for junk prices, furthering the problem...
Some places are more regulated, but not many.
Lat thing I purchased was some star wars figures when I was eight/nine years old.

Where I live, people come over the border between Mexico and the U.S. The Mexicans come over buy stuff from garage sales, fill their van to the brim with good, drive back across the border, and sell it over there to make a profit.
