Kaspersky Labs Anti-Virus is exceptionally good. I highly recommend it.

its beween NOD32 + Kasperspy

both on equal footing when it comes to virus protection

I am running Kaspersky Antivirus personal pro 4.5, I made it so only one service is running, not a process. It's hidden, and it alerts me with a sound when it finds a virus, then auto-quarantines it. I can also start the process to see it in the tray, in which case it gives me an alert window too. Basically I tweaked it and it's using VERY VERY VERY little resource. It has new definitions everyday too.

Too bad it expires in a few months though, since the newer Kaspersky versions use more memory and are not really as silent and hidden as this one Sad

AVG Free is crap. It misses a lot.

NOD32 caught all of it.

I use NOD32 and have had nothing but good experiences with it. They also update multiple times, a day. That's right. I get the litle definitions popup sometimes 3-5 times in a day. I mean I don't really get viruses but if I did NOD32 would lay the smack down.
