For some people, they don't need to change anything, for others, they need to run it in XP SP2 compatability mode, and for others, it doesn't work.
If I had Vista, I'd help you.
Renguard is a wonderful initiative

Supporters of Proposition 8 will argue California does not discriminate against gays, as the current law allows them to get married - as long as they wed a partner of the opposite sex.

Ok, tried that, worked the first time, because i think it auto ran, or i clicked on ren, and it worked fine. BUT, when i tried it again the next day, it dnt work, i tried installing the scipts again, but nothing. I think ren is using the old scripts again, how would i make ren use those new scripts permanentely?

snpr1101 wrote on Tue, 12 June 2007 03:29 | I don't know what happened, the first time i did it, it all worked, try it agan, its not working. Uninstalled renegade twice, made sure everything is in admin mode, everything is in Windows sp 2. Perhaps now i will just have to try it in every compatability mode. Any more ideas?

did it work the first time before renguard and the corepatches were installed, or did it work the first time with them all installed?
try doing everything step by step.
FIRST THINGS FIRST, COMPLETELY UNINSTALL RENEGADE, RENGUARD, and EVERYTHING having to do with it. after you go into add remove programs go to where the folder would be normally and deleate it to make sure EVERYTHIGN is gone. then follow the following steps
1. First install Renegade, Start it up, see if it works,
2. Then install the patch, see if renegade works, if yes, continue
3. download and install corepatch 2 (without renguard) see if it works
4. Download and install the latest scripts (3.4) test again
5. Download and install the latest version of renguard test again.
If anything fails doing the install that way, let us know exactly where it failed. and we will work from there.

Ok, installation launched fine, after it, clicked play ren, dnt work, ill keep updated as i do all this shit. How is the first patch installed? Do i have to downlaod it of website, because i cant see any updater and one more thing, b4 i uninstalled ren, just trying all things to make it work, think i clicked on one of the scripts and changed it to open with renegade, i have a feeling that might screw it up a bit, will they still run? Also, i dnt use ren guard as couldn't be botherd to download it. How are all of the scripts and patches downlaoded like u said, website? If so what one.
