I am getting random crashes with GMax (run in Vista Basic mode).

Anyone has any problems like that (and any ideas how to solve it)?

He wants to know how to run it on Windows Vista, and not how to
install Windows XP Angry
I would suggest to run gmax in compatibility mode for windows xp,
or try running it with administrator privileges, or disable
visual designs. You can play around with the settings Satisfied

When people ask me "Plz" just because it's shorter than "Please" I feel perfectly justified to answer "No" because it's shorter then "Yes"

I tried everything. Now that I think of it, it seems to happen when I use the Rotate or Scale Tool...

Well tho test that properly you will need to get the operating systems matched up, at least to a point. Vista = Bloat, it drags your computer down as much as it possibly can.

Try installing gmax into a directory other than Program Files, if it's installed there. Also try running it as an administrator.

It's not installed into Program Files. If you mean Administrator, I did check the setting but you know in Vista the User Administrator is not the XP type of Administrator. However, I've got the real Admin account up without all that security crap so I may go and try it there.

Maybe you could try switching to the HEIDI drivers? I've had no problems with gmax on Vista so far.
