I can windows key out and alt-tab out of any game and it will come back fine. Even source games although i mainly run those in windowed mode and just make them loose focus, which drops their fps to 10 but once it becomes the active window again it's fine.

For me it's usually Source games that take so effing long to restore after being minimized.

Yeah, I get very agitated when I minimize Source Games.. The load time for them to open just makes me want to restart my pc because I think it crashed. :#

@Viking: Windows mode is not for losers, R Tard.

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

I very rarely hit the Windows key on accident, but it happens, and it worse in some games than others. (Like C&C3... it takes forever to come back)

However, I use the Windows key ALL the time when I'm not gaming and "disabling it in Windows", if I even found where to do that, would be a pain in the ass to do and undo all the time. With the G15, I just throw a little switch to the right and no worries. It's not a major annoyance but it's sure nice to have.

Of course, that's not normally a primary motivation for the G15 keyboard. For me, it's all about the backlighting, the 18 Macro keys that I can record 3 different sets of Macros for, the built in two USB ports, and of course, the super-informative LCD screen where I can keep track of any metric I choose.

But even with all that, if someone bought me an Optimus, I wouldn't turn it down. Razz

I'm the bawss.

Not everything is as it appears
Untouchable
We all hit it. But to hit it so much that it is a problem then there is something wrong.

I was simply stating that you can disable it if one would like to. For many the windows key does not have value. For many it does.

This has backlit keys, but you can change what is displayed on them. EG. When you start up photoshop the keys change from their letters to their functions within photoshop. Holding down the CTRL key will change the color of the background of those keys to show what are avalible to press with that key. Same goes for ALT and SHIFT.

Another is playing a game. When you start up the game all the keys apart from the ones you use (movement keys, reload, walk, weapon keys etc) will turn black (off) and you can have pretty pictures in the control keys to show that that's what they will do ingame. Take a look at the Quake picture on the Optimus Concept on the top bar of products.

You also never have to worry about languages either. With the click of a button your keys will display the letters of the respective language, instead of being all English. There are 10 hotkeys which you can set and configure to run programs with the press of them. These display the images of the .ico's of the exe file (the firefox logo on the exe file for exsample).

I want it even more now! In Love

/me starts saving.
