Hi all, i am having trouble in installing maps onto my renegade folder. I found where all my other maps are held then from my documents dragged the new map file to the place where all other maps were, but i notice all the other maps have a small .thu file below them like C&C_Walls has below it C&C_Walls.thu is this why my map isnt working? do i need this extra .thu file? if so how? need help

.thu is a temp file, it can be deleted. But it is most likely not the problem why your new maps arent working.
It should work if you do it like this:
1. Download the map.
2. Unzip the map, or copy it to the following dir:
3.Look for the dir C:\Westwood\Renegade\Data
4.The new map should have a extension with .mix
5.for example. C&C_River_Raid.Mix
6.Copy this map into the data folder, load up Renegade.
7.Select the map in the list and ad it to the rotation.

change 3. to: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Renegade(tm)\Renegade\Data if you are using TFD

And you must start Renegade --AFTER-- you put the maps in the ...\data folder
