i am having real problems getting online with renegade, heres what is happening. fisrt of all, i click on westwood online, then multiplayer internet, then finnaly advanced game settings. however, this is where my problem is:
i go to create a new account, select a username+password then click new account. however is says "page failed to load or is invalid". someone said do not click the create account option becasue thats what will happen, however there isnt anything else to select? now i asked someone on here and they said select connect to XWIS from the multiplayer internet menu. there isnt an option to selcet that thought from the game menu, where am i going wrong?

When u click 'advanced game listings' it should show you a box where you can enter a username and password. Enter the username of your choice and a 8 letters long password and log in. If the username is not taken, you will get a welcome message and see the list. You will now own this username. You can make up to 9 usernames like this.
If the username is taken, you will get an empty list (no servers). Just try again with a different nick.

thanx 4 the reply, however itz not saying itz not taken it just sayz "page failed to load or is invalid". do you know why it is saying that? there is a server down@ minute apparently+i had 2 go on that strkie force website+use XWIS. dont know what im doing wrong?

You do not go to 'create new account', you just log in with the name and pass u want. If it doesn't exist, it will automatically register it for you.

It worked in the past. ready for history lesson?
Until last year, WOL was actually WOL. It was hosted by EA and you need to create an account through a webpage or through the 'new account' option. That 'new account' option didn't have any of the image files it needed either because EA must have lost them some day, donno.
Anyway, EA gave control over WOL over to strike team who put their WOL clone, xwis, on it. This wol clone doesn't need the account registration page anymore but works like explained above.

Open RenGuard, and launch Renegade. Log in to WOL. Close Renegade and RenGuard. Open RenGuard. ??? Profit.

I have gotten to the WOL screen typed in a nick and a 8variable PW but when i log in there are no servers and something thats says
XCC login failed
Invalid PW
Server:renegade SID: 90149
plz help me.
