Ok, well, my IRC, box, etc. keeps getting hacked.

Somone joined my IRC, under the name: moot, or mootsie, or moots. I need to know, who the fuck is this guy, and who the fuck he think he is? I am guessing its somone I have pissed off recently, I think its either somone from st0rm, cause I was linked with them, and aca got pissed, and de-linked, or, fl00d3d, (not pointing fingers, just mentioning people I know really hate me..)

Some people say, moot quit renegade, cause he hacked to much, killed him emotionaly, now he came back.

Please, I need info about this guy, who he is, who has heard of him, etc.

Please, don't flame me, I know I kinda deserve it... But still.. I need help.. I would give info to you guys if one you guys were in the same position..

Well, this guy knows a "oper login & password finder" exploit in the latest unreal irc.. So every irc atm can be hacked by this dude, or exploiters of the same kind..

Also, this guy tried to login via ASPNET_SYSTEM, so I urge all dedicated server owners to delete every non inuse rdp user / adminstrator user to delete it at once.

change your password to include symbols, numbers, lowercase, and uppercase letters. That may slow him down. Not sure though.

example:

Thats a good suggestion, I might be changing all my passwords (for personal uses) to something really long, and something similar to that.

But seriously, does anyone know who the fuck moot / mootsie / moots is?

Here's an idea: DON'T. USE. UNREALIRCD.

It's a fine starting IRCd, but bleh. I hate it. I like InspIRCd. It's what I run, and a couple networks that I idle on run as well. Stable, too!
