TVs run at a very low resolution (320x240?)which is half the lowest setting you can have on a computer monitor. What is happening is that there are enough pixels to make up the picture but some pixels used to make the words are being left out making the words unreadable. The reason you dont see the individual pixels on a TV like you do on a monitor is that the TV blurs them together so any words coming from a computer will be unreadable unless in a huge font.
Unless you have a HDTV, that is a different story...
