I have my own FDS that i would like to play on it my self but, When i run the server it works ok and my buddys can connect to it fine but when i try to connect to it my self nothink happens? 
I cant even connect to any other servers if mine is running,can you host and play of one computer?

Simply launch Renegade with the +multi switch added to the command line. Don't launch RenGuard though; it does not pass the +multi option properly to Renegade for some odd reason. (Renegade = game2.exe if you have RenGuard installed; I just use the Run box in the Start menu to launch game2.exe)
