Well, some of you might know, some of you may not.
For 3 years, I played without cheating, 100% legit, and loved it.
However, Browsing some forums, I came across a few places, in which I found some hacks.
Low and behold it, the greedy side of my took over. And I downloaded them.
Used them in game, and fair enough, got my ass banned off most servers that are respectful.

Now, Im not going to sit here, and cry my way out of being banned of servers, im not going to sit here and ask for forgiveness.
Nor am I going to sit here, telling you it was another person.

It was me, I did it.
I downloaded the hacks, had fun for a few games, and now I'm paying the price for it.

I have reinstalled renegade, clean sheet.
And play on a few servers here and there.

I already know Troop is going to love this, as well as a few others.
Your going to flame me, and im prepared for it.

Let me tell you this though-
I was stupid, greedy, power hungry.
Ive seen the error in my actions, as I too, hated cheaters at one point.

This message, is to all my in-game friends.
When i get off my three-month ban from my clan, your going to see a better player, both in-game, and as a person.

BBF, I apologize for all of this, I take 100% responsibility for it. And to nas, MexPirate, I apologize to you two the most.
Mex, you recommended me here, and out of the goodness of your heart, taught me how to play 1 Vs. 1's better.
Nas, you took me into your clan, as a leader. And showed me what a true clan was all about.

Im going to accept my banning, since I have no choice.
To all the people to renegade forums, I know this doesnt seem like the person i Am, but im paying the price, for three days of fun.

Yes, you can say it.
Im a low-life scummy cheater. I ruined games, made people upset, betrayed my clan, betrayed myself.

Since thats all im here to say, ill leave it at that.
Hate me, or continue to like me for who i am, its your call.

Now then, with that said-
Im waiting for the entire community to flame me.

That's a really fucking retarded idea dude.
At least you're admitting to it but you should not have posted this here imo.

ITs not a hot topic, not a clan topic, not a renguard ban.
Just a general discussion.

I think it fits perfectly here.

I don't think you should have made this a public issue. Too many people are going to be immature about it, and there really was no point for a public apology. Some things are best if the masses don't know about them. This is probably one of them.

Other than that, there's not much to say. You haven't proven yourself to be an idiot, so there's no reason to expect that you have some expectation that you're going to be exalted for your confession. We all make mistakes, and the worst thing you could have done is to tried to apologize and demand forgiveness and pity. You showed some class and kept your dignity. I commend you for that because it's quite the rare thing in this community of immature idiots.

Like you said, just accept your 3 month ban and move on. Most will have forgotten in a week, anyways.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not condemning you for posting about this. I just don't believe you deserve the humiliation that you're going to recieve for this post. I still think it is/was a retarded idea to cheat, and that you screwed up. But you seem to be sincere about your apology, and now that you posted this here you're going to be humiliated by everyone and this post isn't doing anything to help you at all. If you think this is going to "clear your name" then you're very much wrong.. You will probably get banned from many more servers just because they read this. Sad And many people are not going to believe you anyways.

I'm glad you came around and admitted your mistake though. Cheating sucks and caused a lot of people to leave this game, but it takes maturity to come out and admit that you made a mistake. Good job.

I also believe you apology is sincere, I also don't think your going to get flamed as much as you think. Obviously you apologized, and no real cheater would wast his time with doing so, he would probably just change his name and IP, and continue cheating.
It would be pointless to punish a cheater that no longer cheats for stopping, if anything it would just encourage the person to continue.

Posting here you're going to ban evade will not do you any good.

You had your laugh, you must pay for it. You should not rejoin the servers you cheated on, ban evading si as bad as cheating again. Out of respect for the misery you caused these servers, you should stay away from it.

One thing: are you sorry you cheated or are you sorry you got caught? Would you still be cheating if noone banned you from their servers?

Tell them nothing especially if you have moved on. A clean slate includes not mentioning the past.

Replying to any comment when you have a new name will open all the old wounds.

I was feeling bad about cheating way before hand.
After about the third game or so, I was more or less, thinking to myself..well, this is it?

I figured it woulda been funner.
But it really just ruined the fun in it.

And, its not cheating to change your IP.
No one will know my new IP, im staying off IRC, staying off renguard.
The only place that will know, here, and my clan page.
And, the new name wont be one obvious.

And other post-

I'm finishing up the past soon enough.
And I'm staying off renegade for awhile anyways.

Who the fuck are you to decide when your ban is over? Now of course you're a fucking idiot if you change your IP. I could understand if you were wrongfully banned on servers. But if a server owner doesn't believe you are not going to cheat again (which the changing your IP makes me want to believe), then what right do you have to think it's OK to change your IP and "start over" Every cheater that gets caught usually is sorry for it, you're no different then them. Why should you be any different? I feel bad for your clan if they let you back after fully admitting that you'd change your IP. You really *are* no better than them, are you?

I actually agree with puddle_splasher on his comment about not mentioning your past. I made a real-life mistake, but it's in my past now, and I don't mention it usually. When I do, it's to laugh at myself.

I also agree with Sniper. You're still banned regardless if you change your name or IP. Sure, people won't know it's you, but you, the person who cheated, is still banned.

A fugitive is still a fugitive even if he changes his appearance. Your mistakes aren't suddenly forgotten because you disguise yourself. Your disguise is just an attempt to make a dishonest attempt to live a normal life. You may not have the same mentality as before, but you're still just as guilty of the crime.

Sometimes people deserve a second chance. It can be life altering given the oppurtunity.

Not if they act that way, they don't deserve it. If you're going to be lenient with cheaters, then make every cheater have a second chance, and when that chance is broken then ban. However, people have already gotten second chances broken and yet they somehow get more still yet. Strange.

He knew it was wrong yet he continued to cheat - even after being banned on more popular servers that would have served as a wakeup call, yet it didn't phase him.

He can say whatever he likes to troop but compared to troop, at least troop never cheated.

anybody else > troop > cheaters

It's just a really bad policy to only give chances to some people and not to others. There have been *many* people who've been sorry and haven't been shown any leniency, why shouldn't they get any second chances if other people do?

That goes with pretty much anyone. If the guy who discovers the ultimate cure for cancer or whatever and ultimately saves millions of lives, should he get a second chance if he murders some people? It's not for the cheater's dissatisfaction that someone is banned, but more the fact that a person aught to be banned based on the fact of what he did wrong to the countless players he affected.

I was all for pretty much not caring about him until he talked about ignoring the bans that were placed and changing his IP and what-not. What is it? 2 stops back for cheating, one step forward for admitting, and then 2 steps back for evading bans that are completely justified? He can talk about flaming him all he wants and act like it would be immature, but I think that just shows his maturity right there. "I deserve a second chance and I'll force it by evading my bans" Why don't you instead just deal with it? I've been banned by countless servers for doing nothing wrong and haven't done anything to get by the bans. Well, except for trying to reason with the server admins/mods, explaining I wasn't cheating. That's a hard challenge though.

Either way, it's his own choice whether he wants to evade it. But I doubt I'll actually believe him if he responds now and says he changes his mind about not trying to evade the bans. Only a liar/someone deceitful would think to do something like that.

If you really want to start over with a clean sheet, then go to all server's forums, post what you posted here and ask to remove the ban. If THEY decide you can get the 2nd chance, THEN you should rejoin. Changing ip now is just forgiving yourself for what you did, whereas it's the server owners that need to forgive you. That being said, I'm unsure on how many server owners will let you rejoin tbh.

It takes a lot to appologize and I thank you for it. Cheating sucks and getting cuaght I'm sure sucks even more. Your ban from BBF will last 3 months, that's how long you're banned because it's in the rules. That doesn't mean in 3 months I'll re-admit you, it simply means that you have the chance to rejoin.

I give second chances. I don't want anyone to miss out on opportunities because of some silly mistakes. With that said, though, I will need assurance that you won't cheat again and that there has been a change; not just a change of IP, nick, etc.. In 3 months you can re-apply to the clan and the server ban might be lifted.

Thanks for the honesty, although a bit late. Out of curiosity, can you try to describe how cheating made you feel, while you were doing it? I am interested in the psychology of cheaters. I have found that most cheaters cheat not to win, but rather because they "get off" on making people angry. Someone who truly cheats to win, would use a subtle cheat, and prefer not to be detected. Most it seems, use obvious cheats and just sit and LOL everytime they one-shot kill something and someone goes "OMG xxxx hax!". They keep doing it until they get banned, and then they go to another server and do the same thing, like its a drug that they can't get enough of.

So which type are/were you? Please sit and think back to what it felt like when you cheated, before you answer.

I wasted my time with you, encouraged you to join and even stood up for you - then explained that you had been suspected, you denied it entirely saying that you had a different IP and you could proove it.

ONLY WHEN SEVERAL PEOPLE SPENT EXTRA TIME PROOVING 110% THAT IT WAS YOU AND ELIMINATING ALL POSSIBLE OTHER EXPLANATIONS DID YOU ADMIT TO CHEATING.

that doesn't really make it an admition imo because we already knew and you knew that we had undenyable proof. I didn't post it here to flame you because this situation is an embarrasment for me and for my clan.

Our charter may state a minimum 3 month ban, but you will not be allowed to rejoin if I have anything to do with it - I would leave if for some bizarre reason you were allowed. So if you have any decency stay away from BBF, you will not be welcome for as long as I am there.

Thanks to BI for the new anti-cheat measures and renunderground for coming to us with the details and going the extra mile to ensure there was no doubt.

Most likely the gayest confession I've ever read.

lol

Neither, I was more or less the type that sat there, and was like...

This is it?
I got bored of it really easy.
So on the last day, I said fuck it, Then it happend to be that my clan found out, and banned me.
Not saying i didnt deserve it.

After three games or so, in my case, I was wondering to myself-
There has to be more fun then this.
It was just an easy answer to kill people.
And your right, I know i was obvious about it, cause i really didnt care all that much.

And To Goztow, Wheter I myself, as a person, is banned, A new account, new Ip, will be all it needs.
And im also knowing that the forums can trace them, and therefore post in a forum topic-

OMG HAXOR! BAN HIS IP! NOWWWWWWW.
Then post it everywhere.
If I see that happen, I'll have to leave the forums.
Ill browse them, obviously, but have my own input, probably not.

And Mex-
I personally could care less about your post, I thought you would have been mature about it, instead, you post that I was caught, proven, then fessed up.

Which, I already said, so there was no need to say that.
Your attempt to make me feel bad, failed.
I liked you as a person, until some of the things you said to me on msn.
It was quite said to see an attemp at a reasonable conversation had to turn into immature emoticons and gestures.

So, ill say the same thing you said to me-
Fuck you.
