... But with the release of C&C3 and the fact that EA has milked the last amount of money out of the old games, if enough people got behind the idea and people with ties to EA got involved do you think we could get them to give the game to us and make it freeware. Perhaps tying in some C&C3 advertising or something claiming that it might help boost sales.

About as likely as seeing a rocking horse shit I know but just an idea.

The renegade source code needs to be given to jonwil and nobody else because he actually shares what he makes! Whitedragon is cool too!

I am not suggesting that the sourcecode be given out, only that EA host a working serial generator so that people can just download and play without having to buy the game.

Obviously not, but lot's of people in multi gaming clans will try a game out if it's free and you can just download it - it could only increase traffic that this game could use.

EA is a corporation and like most businesses, their main goal is to make money. Giving games away for free makes them no money, and more than likely causes them support and legal problems. In short, don't hold your breath Smile
