Anyone using Visual C++ 2005 should download and install this

Ignore the fact that it says "team system", it will update any version of Visual Studio 2005/VC2005 except the express edition.
I think there is an express edition update somewhere too but I dont know where that is.
I myself will be installing and using this update for future scripts.dll work (starting from 3.1.3) Smile

I suppose the project files are not compatible with vs2005 not running
this "service pack" ?

Everything (including the project files) will continue to work even if you dont install this update. However, I recommend installing it since it fixes a large number of bugs in Visual C++ 2005.

Does it stop it crashing when you use Commands->Send_Custom_Event() ? That's the only real crash bug I have ever noticed, and I have no idea why it does it, just seems my VC05 does not like Send_Custom_Event() Razz

It does not always crash, just every now and then. I think its probably related to the intellisense trying to find the right declaration for it.

Then try to delete the scripts.ncb intellisense database.
Visual Studio will recreate it when you start it then.
This maybe fixes it.
