renguard not connecting [message #235344]

Recruit

when i start rengaurd it wont connect to any of the servers before i start renegade up and therefore cannot play renegade because renguard cannot get a connection.

anybody else got the same problem?

Same here, been using renguard for several months when i started renegade back up and much time before that too. And now I cant connect to either server tonight. earlier today server 1 woudnt connect, but server 2 did.. now neither do. Nothing has changed on my end.

If you can't get RG to start, but still want to play, go to the renegade dir and click on <Game2.exe> and the game will start without RG.

I've been having trouble also on Wednesday and Thursday, but all is fine on Friday.

You got the Unable to connect problem like I do.
Unfourtunately nothing I have followed here works. I have re-installed renguard over and over again, Re-installed renegade a few times, dissconncected my xfire, turn off my Anti-Virus programs, and even re-installed my operating system. I just get this problem.

Trying To Connect to server 1 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 2 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 3 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 4 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 5 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 6 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 7 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 8 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 9 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 10 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 11 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 12 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 13 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 14 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 15 ... Failed
Trying To Connect to server 16 ... Failed

And so on...

It keeps doing this until renguard eventually crashes.
I really need help with this. Any other suggestions?

complete uninstall of ren and renguard then re-instal both

exactly what i was thinking about. i usually only get two servers.
the servers rg is trying to connect to are those from this index.bin i was talking about in another thread. and i also only saw two servers in this index.bin until today.
